Baroque Concertos and Arias

While J.S. Bach is perhaps better remembered for his skill on the organ, his first instrument was the violin. On this program the VBF Chamber Orchestra performs Bach's E major and A minor concertos for violin, and Vivaldi's extraordinary B minor concerto for four violins. Arias by Bach and Handel, sung by soprano Melissa Givens, complement the operatic style of the concertos for a compelling evening of drama and grace.
